I Hope He Fails
Change is a-coming! Barry is in charge now. God help us all. Today was a stunning tribute to the triumph of mediocrity. We have elected an empty suit with a terrible agenda. If history is any guide, he is precisely the wrong man at the wrong time. This country faces a string of challenges on par with the 1930s. If Barry is true to his word, he plans to follow the FDR model to recovery. Unfortunately for us, FDR’s policies were a miserable failure, causing the Great Depression to last almost a decade longer than necessary. Our only hope is that Barry fails.
I should give credit to Rush Limbaugh here, for 1st voicing this sentiment last week. I normally don’t get to listen to him, but I turned him on last week and he was ranting on how he hoped Barry would fail. All I could think of was: Amen! Ditto! You Go Girl!!!
I hope Barry fails because he is evil. Not evil in the kook-fringe Obama is a Muslim/Obama is the Anti-Christ/Obama rapes kittens meaning, but evil because his ideas are evil. I firmly hold to the Ayn Rand thesis that in any compromise between Good and Evil, Evil wins. Barry seeks to deny me my basic, inalienable rights, at the point of a gun. He seeks to deny me my property, deny me my liberty, and deny me my right to voice opposition to him and his policies.
To understand this, we must first define the term right. Rights are entitlements or permissions. Rights can be both positive and negative. A positive right is my ability to act, such as my right to speak. A negative right is the government’s inability to act, or to force me to act, such as the right against self incrimination. The Founding Fathers believed that rights were inalienable, meaning that they were conveyed by our creator and could not be restricted or denied by our government. I can forfeit a right by my actions, such as being incarcerated if I commit a crime, but the government cannot deny me a right by fiat.
One of the fundamental precepts of a right, which our new President does not understand (or at least ignores), is that you cannot have a right that compels another to act against their own interests. My right to free speech does not compel anyone to listen. My right to free press does not compel anyone to publish what I wrote. My right to assemble does not compel anyone to join me. My right to bear arms does not compel the manufacturer to give me arms for free.
During the campaign, Barry declared health care is a right. The question unanswered is at whose expense? Does my “right” to health care require a doctor to treat me? Does it require that treatment be at the market price, the price I think I can afford, the price some bureaucrat in Washington decides is “fair”? If I have a “right” to health care, why isn’t health care free? Who is the doctor, or the government, to deny me my supposed “right” to health care just because I don’t feel like paying?
What about students thinking of going to medical school? If they choose to change their career to something not controlled by the government, in order to make a profit, are they not denying me my “right” to their services? I have lived under socialized medicine in England and it is an abject failure. The reason the rest of the world comes to the US when they need treatment is because our system works. Their system causes poor service, shortages, and rationing. I’d rather not be put on a 6-month waiting list when I need treatment. Free markets work. Get Government out of the way. Encourage doctors to make insane profits. More people will become doctors. Quality and innovation will occur. Prices will come down. I hope Barry fails.
Obama intends to deny me my right to my own property through taxes and regulations. He justifies this by saying that those less privileged need a hand-up. At whose expense? Obama views himself as a modern day Robin Hood, only in this case he is robbing from the productive, and giving to the undeserving.
We are a government by the people and for the people. This means that government is merely a collection of your neighbors. Income taxes are the moral equivalent of your neighbors forcing their way into your house at gun point and taking money from your wallet. Property taxes turn you into an effective renter of your property from the government (your neighbors), rather than an owner who has sole discretion of your properties use and disposition. Capital gains taxes punish your willingness to take risks and invest your money, forcing you to give a portion of your earnings to those who did not share your risk.
With the possible exceptions of consumption and excise taxes, all taxes deny your some portion of your rights. Income taxes deny you your right to the fruit of your labor, and deny you your right to privacy by forcing you to disclose to the government (your neighbors) how much money you earned. Because you sign your tax returns under penalty of perjury, and you are compelled to file, you are also denied your right against self-incrimination.
This country was founded in part in response to taxation without representation. Our Founding Fathers recognized that while governments require revenues to operate, most forms of taxation infringe on the rights of the individual. As a result, the only tax originally allowed on the Federal level was excise taxes. The 16th amendment which created the income tax was a huge step backwards for the rights of the individual.
I believe the income tax should be replaced with a consumption tax. Short of that, I think we need to eliminate the progressive income tax that exists today and institute a flat tax which all pay. Today more than half of income producers in this country pay no federal income tax. Their burden is shouldered by the other 50%. This creates a wealth redistribution scheme where half the country continually votes itself an increasing share of money it did not earn. This is evil. Obama supports an expansion of this. He wants to raise income taxes on those who produce, and give tax “refunds” to people who have paid no tax (i.e. give them another hand-out at my expense). I hope Barry fails.
Obama intends to close the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay. He has said so from the very beginning of his campaign and I take him at his word. Unfortunately, he will soon learn that the folks at Gitmo are actually bad people who should not be released. These are terrorists who have taken up arms against us and will do so again if released. These are NOT prisoners of war under the Geneva Convention and are not entitled to Geneva protections. They are not American citizens nor were they captured inside the United States so they are not entitled to protections under the U.S. Constitution. We really have only 2 choices: 1) Hold them until hostilities end; or 2) Try them in a Military Tribunal and then execute them. Obama thinks we should grant these people rights in civilian courts and/or release them back to their home countries to attack us again. I hope Barry fails.
Obama wants to retreat from Iraq immediately, thus surrendering and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The surge has worked, victory is finally achievable, and he wants to give up. I hope he fails.
Obama is a proponent of the global warming myth. In the midst of one of the coldest winters on record, erasing and supposed warming of the modern era, Obama wants to cripple the economy with silly programs like cap-and-trade. He wants to bankrupt the coal industry.
I could go on. On almost every issue, Barry stands on the wrong side. He is a big government liberal socialist. He believes government is the solution to all our problems and is looking to expand it at every turn, funded by the productive minority. I will not wish him well on his policies or programs. I will not support the man who intends to rob me blind to pay for his feel-good endeavors. I will not say “thank you sir may I have another?!?” I hope he fails.

Well, it seems you must be smarter than the Supreme Court, which correctly recognized that United States statutes required that the detainees be given Geneva Convention protections. Quit drinking the Kool-Aid. Your side lost, get over it. As Little Rush (Hannity) is wont to say, “Elections have consequences.” Now that the adults are in charge, maybe we can work our way out of this mess.

I may disagree on stance in your points. But I do think you go well over the line suggesting when you say the President seeks to deny you your right to voice opposition to his policies. Unless your support for that point is buried in the paragraphs that argue other issues, this one seems just flung out there for the sakeof rhetoric.

This writer IS smarter than the Supreme Court because if the Supreme Court was smart they would uphold our constitution and this usurper would not be the President today. Kool Aid drinkers? I’m in “awe” when I watch Obama supporters. They remind me of a cult following the leader. Fainting, worshipping , etc, what would any normal person call this? My husband is in the Military, 60% of the military (according to the Military Times) do not know if they should be following Obama’s commands. Why? Because these soldiers are smart and informed as to what is going on. This person (whoever he is) is from Kenya and should not be in this high position much less this country! Thank you for writing this and I hope he fails too.

Mike,
Thanks for reminding me I was missing a link. I was referring to the Fairness Doctrine which Obama has both supported and opposed, and which he is likely to sign-off on when Reid and Pelosi try to ram it down our throats.
DP,
The Supreme Court gets things wrong too. The Geneva Convention III, articles 4 and 5 are so clear even you could understand them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unlawful_combatant
The don’t wear uniforms. They don’t carry their arms openly. They don’t have a clear chain of command. They don’t conduct themselves according to the laws and customs of war. Instead they hide in Mosques, they strap bombs to women and children, they target civilians. As a result, they are unlawful combatants and are not subject to the protections provided by Geneva III.

80% of Americans support Obama. Did you see the millions of people smiling, cheering, and crying because they were so overjoyed that a black man is finally running this country! Even I am happy, which is something since Obama and all y’all are descendents of people that come from other countries. For me, well, my people were here first. 10’s of thousands of years before any of you or your ancestors set foot in ‘my’ country. So yes, I like Obama and will do what is best for this country; work hard and be of service to making life better for everyone. Even all y’all.
Be thankful you even got to witness such a day as Obama’s swearing in. If you spoke of such things “I hope he fails” of the government in many other countries you would be killed without notice or choice. A new intelligent America is emerging. The days of the ‘Rush Limbaugh’s’ who’s veiled bigotry with supposed knowledge on how to run a country are DONE. Learn your origins. Do something useful for this country. And I just might like you too.

Popular does not make him right. Hitler was popular and his rallies looked the same. Millions of people smiling and cheering. So spare me. I am doing something useful for this country. I am a productive member of society that pays MORE than his fair share of taxes so guys like you can collect your government check and bitch about how your people were here first. You call Rush and I bigots but YOU are the one who references Barry’s race. I could gave a crap that he is black. It is his ideas, not his skin color that is wrong.
When you say a “new intelligent America is emerging,” you should replace the word intelligent with Socialist.

Oh bill, your in my America, of course skin color matters, and you had to bring up the old tired complaint ‘oh we pay taxes so “guys like you can collect your government check”‘. Well, right there that is a racist stereotype. Are you ‘white’? (that would be my racist stereo type, for illustration only, as I love my ‘white’ brothers and sisters). That old complaint is so bigot 1970’s. Update yourself. I pay more in taxes then you probably make all year long and if you would educate yourself, you’ll learn that most of my people pay taxes! We honor this country as many other patriots do. Learn how many of us fought in all the wars for this country. The first casualty of this Iraq (2003) war was one of my people. And saying we were here first is not a complaint it is a fact. And yes, Hitler had is cheering followers. But he was based on hatred, delusions of superiority, and genocide. Which, indecently, many European settlers tried to do to my people, but we survived and we forgave. We will reclaim our place. Peace and rebuilding our great country is why these people were cheering for Obama. Are you able to make that distinction? And yes, I liked Bush as a person, but he just drove the country in the ground and caused the rest of the world to hate us. Complain about him if you will. You have good reason. Obama? You don’t even know what will happen yet. Lets return to this conversation in 4 years. I used to listen to Rush, but I realized he is not that bright. I need more intelligent dialogue. By the way, does it make you feel more powerful to call him ‘barry’? Well his name is Barack Hussein Obama, President Obama. Love that. It is a good time for my America despite the blight. You can help build it up with the rest of us. Or, if you don’t like it you can always go back to your homeland, wherever that is. God Bless America!!!

Trackerman,
Again you focus on race. Your race is immaterial to me. Had you not identified your self as Indian/Native American/original dweller, I would not know or care about it. I was referencing your desire to have a nanny state under Barry, not your skin color. By the way, your people are immigrants too, they just got here sooner. I AM white, but I am also part Cherokee (a very small part) and if I looked hard enough up enough branches of the tree, I would not be surprised to find Asian or African. I’m a mutt. Barry is at least half white.
None of which matters. I am talking about principles and policies. You are talking race. But since you are talking race, I feel no guilt about Europeans invading North America, nor do I feel guilt about slavery. I never shot an Indian and I never owned a slave. Neither did my parents. Your lands were not taken from you. Barry was not taken from his home in Africa and forced to pick cotton on a plantation. None of us was alive. None of our immediate ancestors were alive. It’s been more than 130 years since Custer. At some point in time, you have to get over it.
Back to the main point here: I don’t care whether “your people” pay taxes or whether you pay more than I. It is not material to the conversation. 50%+ of this country pays effectively zero federal income tax. The top 5% pays 60% of the tab. My personal tax rate when I add it all up exceeds 50%. http://www.edgeblog.net/2008/how-much-is-enough/
Barry’s solution is to give tax “rebates” to people who don’t pay tax and to ask me to pay more. I object to that. If he succeeds, I will suffer. I want him to fail.
Barry signed an order today to close Gitmo. He is misguided. You can find some 1st class analysis of why this is a bad idea here: http://www.heritage.org/Research/NationalSecurity/sr17.cfm If he succeeds, we will all be less safe. I want him to fail.
Lastly, I call him Barry because it bothers people like you. I use it pejoratively because I hold him in the lowest esteem. It is, however, his name. He used it for years. My name is Bill. It is also William. You can use them interchangeably. Bill implies familiarity. By using Barry, I am intentionally being overly familiar because he has not earned any respect.

Bill. Dear man, you live in fear. Have some courage and stepforward. Create your own destiny. Its no one else is fault if your life sucks! Fear, that’s so Bush, he’s done now. Oh and look at themes he left. I never said anything about Custer. I have nothing to get over there, he was shot dead by a little woman. That’s immaterial to me. To be concerned with a few hundred men accused of being terrorist (shouldn’t they have charged them by now?) be released into the world? Well they will meet their fate. Do you really think they are just going to walk free IF they are guilty? The greatest danger to Americans is OTHER AMERICANS! Who killed the most Americans over the last 5 years, other Americans! There are much greater things to be working on then them.
And Bill, if you don’t know your history and develop a wider view of life you will live in fear. Its sad if you live your life in fear of things that haven’t even happened! Life goes by fast. Go out and be happy for a moment at or two. The new America is here. Get used to it.
P.S. EVERYBODY has a little bit of Cherokee. That is a funny line. Your right about ‘Barry” though. But I will call him that out of respect. What do you think of all the wonderful things being said about hin all over the world? Does it piss you off?

Trackerman,
Thanks for visiting and posting. It is fun. I do not live in fear. Quite the contrary, I am incredibly optimistic because I know my history. Every time Socialism is tried, it fails. Every time freedom and Capitalism are tried, they succeed. In the long run, Barry WILL fail because his ideas are failures. They didn’t work when FDR tried them, didn’ t work when Lenin tried them, didn’t work when Mao tried them, and won’t work here. World opinion matters not. They are free to voice their opinions because they live under the protections we provide them. So the French like him? So what? Without us they’d be speaking German. The Europeans are a bunch of cheese-eating surrender monkeys. The boast of their universal health care, but they come here when they really want treatment. They try to be tollerant of others, but when that blows up in their faces, it is our military they beg for.
Barry will fail, and anything we can do to speed up the process is just icing on the cake!

Trackerman,
Well said. There is an old saying, when you can’t attack your opponent’s argument, attack your opponent. Billy began the interchange of comments by responding to you with an ad hominem attack. You handled it admirably. I wish I could have done so well. First he accuses you of being on welfare, but that does not work, so he equates Obama with Hitler. That was refuted. So then he attacks the “Europeans” (as if they were one people) as “cheese eating surrender monkeys”. So instead of facts, he turns to insults., which is typical of a schoolyard bully (i.e. your mother wears army boots), but not the approach one expects in a debate of issues.
What’s more troubling is the issue of saying “I hope he fails”. Really Billy? (And I say that rhetorically, because I stumbled on this blog and probably won’t be back, so I’ll never see your answer.) You hope the president fails in improving our country? Fails in bringing us out of recession? So in other words, you want people to lose their homes, lose their life savings, have their children go hungry, etc? You are rooting against the USA? How incredibly un-patriotic. We are country who in tough times has always pulled together, be it war, the moon race or economic crisis. But you Billy, think it is ok to take the other side? Think that American values include praying hoping and wishing for the worst for this country? If any of the so-called “Liberal media” had declared the same thing you and Rush espoused during the Bush Years, the Right would have been all over them in a heartbeat, touting how you are either with “us” (us being the USA”) or against us. And being against us would have been derided as Anti-American, and Un-Patriotic. But then conservatives have always been about double standards. One for them, and one for everyone else.
Being opposed to policies and positions is not wrong. Neither is genuine argument and debate. In fact, that is part of our heritage, regardless of when we came to this country. Obama is President. There is nothing you can do to change that for about 3 years or so. So get over it. Lets work together to make America better.

Thanks for stopping by. I am rooting for the USA, which means I am rooting for freedom, free-market capitalism, and prosperity. Barry stands for none of these, so I hope he fails. You and your liberal buddies DID hope Bush would fail. You hoped the “surge” would fail in Iraq, which meant you hoped our troops would die. You are correct that Barry is President. And so far, he is doing a lousy job. If you’d like to work together to oppose his dumb-ass ideas, I’m right there with you. If you want me to work with you to support policies I know to be harmful, then I’ll respectfully decline.

Bill:
Thank you for stating what many of are feeling. WE HOPE BARRY HUSSEIN FAILS. Why? Not because we are the angry, rigid, bitter, fools that Liberals so readily depict us as but because we are profoundly concerned that this empty suit, this inexperienced and ill-suited man, has the power and the inclination to strip us of our property and to deny us our Constitutional rights. WE HOPE HIS POLICIES FAIL BECAUSE THEY ARE DISASTROUS FOR AMERICA.
When a Conservative voices his his rational opposition to the disastrous policies that Barry Hussein promotes, Liberals like Trackerman label him as a racist, bigot or worse. They exhort him to “get over it”. “We won, you lost.” “A new intelligent America is emerging.” How arrogant and condescending Liberals are. More to the point, they are intolerant of any opposition; they demean and attempt to marginalize people like you Bill because opposition to the anointed one, Barry Hussein, is a fundamental attack on on their belief system. They see it as an attack on who they are and cannot tolerate such an attack, no matter how well founded or logical.
Oh, and Sage, exactly what do you think the Liberal media and Liberal politicians have been doing for the last 8 years? They have been rooting against America. They have desperately sought defeat in Iraq. They told us that we could never win, that the surge would never work. They accused our troops of atrocities (e.g. Mertha’s comments about Haditha and Barry Husein’s comments on raiding and killing) that were never proven. The media disclosed topp secret components of our war on terror (NY Times), hamstringing our efforts to protect ourselves. I could go on, but you get the point. So no, WE WON’T GET OVER IT. The stakes are too high. We are Americans too and have the right to voice our opposition.

Regardless of what you print, regardless of what Rush, O’reilly or the rest of them say there is a couple of truths behind Barack Obama’s presidency. What I see from your ranting and the ranting of “white Americans” who don’t like President Obama is this: you are afraid of Obama succeeding, OMG a black man in America who can run our Nation. One of the last bastions of White America. Plain and simple no more no less. You can rant and rant of rights and being a mutt…lol. All of that is smoke and mirrors. If you are white in America you are white. You don’t want to know anything else…lol. Even your small part of Cherokee. If you are black, mixed, or a real multiracial(mutt to you..lol) YOU ARE BLACK. And with a name like Barack Obama…I am surprised he decided to run at all. But if you are one of those people who believe in GOD…maybe you should take this as food for thought. What if GOD had a hand in all of this to test our tolarance as a people…HUH???? Anywayssssssssss. As far as for our dear….or your dear and beloved Rush and the others. Do you really think they go home to Palm Beach(where Rush lives) and worry about you or anyone else while they count their money??? The are businessmen, and their business is politics. If they don’t generate lots of contreversy and drama they don’t get listeners and they don’t get paid. So President Obama will never be given a chance by people like you or Rush, no matter what he does, good or bad. You will always find issue with something he does. What happened to the issue of barry’s birth certificate? I/ We never have seen a Vault copy of it. Not the certificate of live birth from Hawaii that was printed up last year. Is it just me or is that not a red flag?
I don’t care about race but I do care about us protecting the Constitution. If it is not proven that he was born here with the previously mentioned birth certificate, then I do not consider him to be my president. No one can argue an inarguable theme. And this is inarguable. This country will always be divided by race, that will never change, I know in my heart that if President Obama was not “black” or named Barack Obama and still was a Democrat with the same ideas there would not be such hateful attitude. This is great. I have been wondering about why Whites are racists, and no
other race is. Proud to be White Michael Richards makes his point…
Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TVs Seinfeld does make a good
point.
This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his
comedy act. He makes some very interesting points…
Someone finally said it… How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab
Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the
street and sneer in my direction.
You call me ‘White boy,’ ‘Cracker,’ ‘Honkey,’ ‘Whitey,’ ‘Caveman’ … and
that’s OK.
But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey,
Beaner, Gook, or Chink … You call me a racist. You say that whites commit
a lot of violence against you… so why are the ghettos the most dangerous
places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day You
have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah.
You have Ma’uled Al-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET…
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) we’d be racists. If we had a
White Pride Day, you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month, we’d be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to ‘advance’ OUR lives we’d be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and
then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that??
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color
can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships…You
know we’d be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US .
Yet if there were ‘White colleges’ That would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race
and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer
shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the
law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist..
I am proud…But you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists??
BE PROUD TO BE WHITE !
It’s not a crime yet, but getting real close! (END)
I’m so tired of not being allowed to say what I feel because blacks will call me/us racists. Blacks want all the luxuries of this country but what are they doing to support it? Voting for Obama JUST and ONLY because he’s black. They were voting on pure emotion and not intellect. (although our votes don’t really matter) There was no thought put into whether or not he was right for the job only that he is BLACK!! Never mind that he’s not a proven AMERICAN citizen, or that he’s a Muslim (only one of our biggest enemies) and that he’s biracial not BLACK.
Get over yourselves black americans!

Dear Bill: I agree with you. These people commenting that it is because Obama is Black is crazy. Why is a person 1/2 black and 1/2 white labeled as black anyway. If Hillary had won I would feel the same towards her as Barry. The democrats wanted Bush to fail and never accepted him as president because of the 2000 election.Over 50 % as you state do not pay income taxes so that changes this country to a socialist state. When the majority do not pay taxes the road to eventual destruction or revolution is set.

You say President Obama has no governing experience. Neither did Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt (Teddy), Gerald Ford, and a long list of other former Presidents. You say that you hope President Obama fails. This coming shortly after the heros of the right called anyone that disagreed with former President Bush (W) anti-American. You say that any problem can be solved by “Free Market Capitalism” and “Freedom”. President Bush and his Republican backed administration suspended the RIGHT of Habeus Corpus and the right to a speedy trial. Which, by the way is in direct disagreement with the “Constitution”. You are worried about your rights? You think closing GITMO is a mistake? Maybe you think it would be ok if Americans were incarcerated and held in countries for over 4 years without access to a fair trial? Maybe you would like to be living under a totalitarian regime?
Moving on to healthcare. I do not believe that anyone should be profiting on the denial of health care. Do You? But, you still insist that it should be treated like a commodity and who ever wins the price war should win. Unlike new tires or a DVD player, we cannot go without some form of healthcare at some point in our lives. The Health insurance industry makes money (profit) in basically two ways. Investing what they are paid for coverage and limiting payouts (that means denying claims). The market isn’t so hot right now, is it. Want to guess how many claims get declined. By the way, getting your tonsils removed costs about $10,000.00. You may want to wait on that because the insurance company can override what you physician says. Read the fine print on your policy. Many Fortune 500 companys are talking to politicians about the fact that the cost of paying their side of employee healthcare is too much of a fiscal strain and during these hard times is contibuting to their demise. If Republicans had practiced Fiscal conservatism the national debt would not be where it is today. If Republicans had practiced some of their “Christian” values New Orleans would not look like Katrina happened yesterday. If Republicans had not turned out to be greedy oportunistic politicians they would not have been led astray by the obvious “Let the Market correct itself” lie. As it turns out, Conservatives are just as bad (or worse) as they said, and continue to say, Liberals are given half a chance. My hope is that the new administration does well in spite of your hostility and bad wishes. My hope is that we all prosper because “When we all do better, we all do better.
To the earlier blogger who’s husband is in the military, I cannot disprove your numbers concerning President Obama’s popularity or lack thereof with the men and women serving. I do have one thing to enlighten you with though, failure to obey a lawful order given by the Commander-in-Chief is a court marshall offense and will not be taken lightly by anyone in the chain-of-command. Look it up in the UCMJ. As a 17 year veteren and a former military investigator. Keep your mouth shut till you see the orders. Mutiny will not look good on a job aplication.
Bill,
Interesting Blog have fun with it. I gave your guy a chance, returning the favor would be refreshing.

TJ,
I think you should check your Facts. Lincoln had 26 years of political experience before he became President. Teddy was Govenor of New York and Vice President. Ford, while never elected President, served in the House for 24 years and was Minority Leader. Washington helped found the country. Teddy, Gerald and George all served their country with distinction in the military. By comparison, Barry looks like a clown.
As to your other points, they did not suspend Habeus Corpus. They declared correctly that it does not apply to illegal enemy combatants. Americans ARE held for years without trial. They are also beheaded and dragged through the streets. Daniel Pearl? Mogodishu? Ring any bells? We give the prisoners in GItmo new Qur’ans and let them pray to Mecca 7 times a day.
You still haven’t addressed who is responsible for paying for health care. Why should I be forced to pay for your tonsils to come out? Why should the doctor be forced to perform the procedure at less than a market rate?
Katrina? Seriously? You still haven’t let that one go yet? I was down there doing cleanup. Mississippi was hit just as hard, yet it is back together now. The difference? Lousiana was run by corrupt liberals.
I would give your guy a chance if he deserved it.
Thanks for reading.

Bill,
The amount of experience as a politician has nothing to do with ability. As you well know. The last preident we had left a big enough mess to last us for a while. Whille you sit and nurse your gripes about corrupt “Liberals” you should check the record on corrupt “Conservatives” for the past 16 years.
The number of Americans held without trial in Iraq, Afganistan, and Saudi Arabia are how many exactly?
How many Americans were executed?
Being able to pray and read religious text is not the same as being treated with respect due to ALL human beings. See your issue, is that you assume that you can’t be wrong. Are all the “Enemy Combatants” held at Gitmo legitimate enemies of the US? PLease explain to the blogosphere how you are 100% sure that they were taken legally. Please explain how the torture we were using and the torture the “bad guys” use is so different. Oh I know, we don’t actually kill while “interrogating”? Nope that can’t be it, cause that has happened already too.
Of course this all ancient history to you because your guy is out of office. In your oppinion he can’t the whipping boy for what happens now because it’s a brand new day. I suppose we all go back to blaming Clinton for everything.
Doctors and hospitals are forced to do procedures at less than “Market Rates” by the monopolies held by health insurance companies and drug companies that take a larger portion of the health care dollar than those actually providing care.

“If he deserved it”???? Hey Bill, he was democratically elected by the people of this nation-he deserves it! We unfortunately had to give your guy a chance for the past seemingly eternal 8 years-that really turned out well, didn’t it? So if Obama looks like a “clown” in comparison with all of these great presidents of yore-what exactly does Bush look like when making the same comparison?
